the almost-lost house of gardiosGuy Cecil is in actuality the only surviving member of House Gardios, a noble house of the Malkuth Empire (with possible ties to the royal ruling family). All of his family but his cousin, General Cecille of Kimlascan, were killed during the Hod War. As such, there is little information about them; however, what little there is has been compiled here.
COUNT ZYGMUNT BAZIN GARDIOS Count Gardios is Guy's father, and died along with the rest of the family during the Kimlascan attack. Nothing else is known about him.
EUGENIE CECILLE GARDIOS Guy's mother. She was a Kimlascan noble before her arranged marriage into the Gardios family. Depsite this, she refused to aid in the attack against the Gardios family. As such, she was killed along with the rest of the family. Guy's alias "Cecil" is derived from her maiden name, "Cecille."
MARYBELLE "MARY" RADAN GARDIOS Guy's older sister. She protected him when Kimlascan soldiers broke into the room where they were hiding - sacrificing herself so that Guy could live. Later on, during ToA, Van made a replica of her using the data from Hod. Although she wasn't "Mary" anymore, Guy
couldn't bring himself to harm her. Ironically, Mary's replica ended up sacrificing herself so that her fellow replicas could find a place to live in the "original's world" - just as her original had sacrificed herself for Guy, so that he might find his place in the Hod-less world.
GENERAL JOZETTE CECILLE Guy's cousin. Because of the incident with Guy's mother, Eugenie Cecille, during the Hod War, the Cecille family
lost its noble status in Kimlasca. As such, Jozette has worked tiressly to regain her family's lost honor - even going so far as to refuse the hand of the man she loved, simply because he was from Malkuth. Once Kimlasca and Malkuth signed a peace treaty, ending their war, Guy informed her that there were no more obstacles to her marrying General Frings.
Because of what happened to his family, Guy only wished for Jozette's happiness and Luke even reassured her that his father, Duke Fabre, would allow it. Diaster struck, however, before the two could wed - General Frings died in an attack by replicated Kimlascan soldiers. When Jozette heard that Frings had be replicated himself by Van and was at the Tower of Rem,
she went over there to give the replica the wedding clothes she had made (as a tradition) for Frings. When she got there, the replicas' sacrifice had already taken place. Distraught, Jozette lamented about how she shouldn't have waited so long and that now, there was not a single trace of him left. Guy comforted her, telling her that with his dying breath, Frings
only wished for her to be happy in the new, Score-less world.
