in the past
Not much is known about Miklotov's past (well, at least for us non-Japanese speaking fans). He has known Camus since the knight induction ceremony - they were partners in the sparring match. Consquently, the pair hold the record for the longest sparring match.

during suikoden ii
During the first part of Suikoden II, Miklotov is the Blue Knight Captain and follows orders from Commander Gorudo. Miklotov is first seen at the Muse Conference alongside his liege Gorudo and his best friend Camus. Even in the brief encounter he has with Riou's party, his deep sense of loyalty and duty shines through. He later appears to help Viktor's mercenaries to defend Muse from Luca Blight; however, due to Gorudo's orders, he has to withdraw his support. The next time he is seen is when Riou travels to the Matilda region to gain support from the Knights. He is met by Miklotov at the Matilda-Greenhill Checkpoint and is escorted by him to Rockaxe. During Riou's audience with Gorudo, Miklotov bursts in to report that the Highland Army is at the Matilda border with Muse. The Knights (including Riou) ride out to the party but no matter how Miklotov tries to convince him otherwise, Gorudo staunchly declines to help the refugees feeling from Muse. Afterwards, an enraged Miklotov rides to the border and meets up with Riou & co (sent by Camus to watch over Miklotov). Together, they investigate the strange happenings at Muse and report back to Rockaxe. This is when Miklotov's big moment in the game comes. Miklotov implores Gorudo to let him attack Muse; however, Gorudo refuses saying that Miklotov should obey his liege no matter what. Miklotov, although hesitant at first, resigns as a Matilda Knight while declaring that he is a human first and a knight second. He goes further to explain that he can't sit by idle and watch innocent people be killed. A furious Gorudo tries to get Camus and the other knights to arrest Miklotov; however, they refuse and, throwing their badges on the ground, renounce themselves as Matildan Knights and pledge themselves to follow Miklotov. With no where else to go, Miklotov requests that Riou accept him and the former-knights and of course, Riou accepts. Miklotov spends the rest of the war alongside the Alliance Army and participates in all of the major battles.

after suikoden ii
At the end of Suikoden II, Miklotov travels back to Rockaxe with Camus to restore the knighthood. He refuses the people's request to become Commander at this time and proceeds to travel to the Grasslands (about 3 months after Suikoden II; presumely to the Free Knights of Camaro) with Camus. During their travel, they happen upon the tiny village of Milit and decide to enjoy the festival happening their. It is there that they encounter a strange Harmonian swordsman named Nash and meet up with old Alliance friends Eilie, Rina, Bolgan, Lo Wen, Gijimu, and Koyu. After awhile, bandits under the leadership of the "Fire Hero" attack the poor village. Miklotov and Camus fight alongside the others to defeat the bandits and are successful. However, during the fight, Camus shields a girl named Maki (who ends up being his childhood friend of sorts) from a fire blast and becomes injured. While Camus is healing, they learn that the bandits have been attacking the village relentlessly and that the village Chief has become more or less their lapdog. After the discussion, Miklotov sits with Camus and reminiscents about the past. Camus expresses doubts about them leaving the knighthood, but Miklotov reassures him that everything will work out as long as they follow their hearts and honor. When the bandits attack a second time, Nash & co. are ready for them. Camus throws a magic dagger (that Maki gave him) at the "Fire Hero" and then with Miklotov, performs the Knight Attack. After defeating the "Fire Hero", Miklotov & co. discover that the man posing as the "Fire Hero" was nothing more than an ex-White Knight.

The details of what happened later are unclear. At some point before Suikoden III (which takes place 15 years after Suikoden II), Miklotov accepts the position of Commander of the Matildan Knights. He also probably fought alongside the Dunan Republic during the High-East Rebellion. It is also unsure if Camus still remains with Miklotov, or if he decided to stay in the Grasslands.

all the other stuff

The current layout features Miklotov and Camus from the Suikoden II novel (volume 3...I believe). It was scanned, edited, *and* colored by me. The layout itself was created using PSP 7.0 & Photoshop 7.0 and was coded using PSPad. The Matildan badge gif used throughout the site was made by me, so don't steal it. :| For a list of brushes/texture resources, go here.
