how to recruit

How do you recruit the invaluable Viki so that you might use (and abuse) her l337 teleporation skillz? This section will tell you all you need to know to recruit her in all of the games she appears in.

While on route to the Elf Village in the Scarlet Moon Empire, you must cross the magicked forest protecting the area around the Elf Village. As you cross the first of the two bridges (either 2nd or 3rd screen, methinks), as seen in the bottom picture, Viki will suddenly teleport on the other side. After she talks a bit (primarily asking where she is), you have the option to recruit. Do so. ** I'll have to double check and make sure, but I believe that you can either have her teleport to the castle by herself, or she can take you with her (by selecting the option to travel together).

Viki suddendly appears in the forest between the Forest Village and the Kobold Village in the Scarlet Moon Empire.

Location To find Viki in your castle, go to the basement level and she'll be on the left as soon as you enter the room. Once you get the Blinking Mirror (from Helen?), it will be next to her.

While traveling to the Matilda Knightdom for the first time, in the Forest Path, Viki will suddendly appear (once you get near the exit to the Matilda region). Ask her to join and you get the option of either having her teleport herself to the castle or having her teleport you with her.

Location Viki is located in the Main Hall of the castle, in the bottom right hand part of the screen. Once you get the Blinking Mirror from Lepant in the Toran Republic, it will be next to her.

At anytime during Chapter 4 (or at anytime in Chapter 5 when you can still recruit), go to the Mountain Path. Proceed like you're going to go up the path and Viki suddendly falls from the sky. When she starts talking about how she doesn't know what to do, tell her about your castle. She agrees to go there and you then have the option of either having her teleport herself to the castle or taking you with her.

To recruit Viki's younger self, simply go back to the Mountain Path with Viki in your party. After some amusing dialouge, you can tell Young Viki about the Lake Castle and she joins to. Young Viki goes on ahead to the castle, without giving you the option to travel back with her.

Location (Older) Viki appears on the 1st floor of Budehuc (Lake) Castle, to the right of the stairs and right next to the elevator. (Little) Viki, on the other hand, is found on the 2nd floor library, pacing back and forth near Eike. Recruiting (Little) Viki nets you the Blinking Mirror in this game and once you have it, it appears on the wall next to (Older) Viki.
